36-L300 SAW + 78-055B 52" RAILS + 78-919B FENCE + 78-918B TABLE BOARD + 78-970 DRAWERfeatures blades that tilt to the left (away from the fence) for the professional and advanced nonprofessional woodworker. The table saws are enhanced with improved mobility, dust collection, larger table surface and the choice of three superior fence systems to provide improved cutting accuracy.
The three fence systems have front locking mechanisms and are functionally the same but offer the user different benefits. The DELTA UNIFENCE® is surface adjustable, which allows for fine-tuning without removing the fence from the saw. It can be used in a high or low position, and is capable of being positioned forward and backward to add support in front of the blade or to be used as a cut-off fence. The T-square design of the BIESEMEYER® fence is made of welded steel and the fence faces are made of laminated plywood, hand-sanded to within .006 inch. The fence itself is accurate to within 1/64 inch using the scale system. Similarly, the DELTA® T2 includes a one-piece solid front rail and a T-square fence design. The steel construction is lighter than the BIESEMEYER® and the aluminum fence faces are removable.
Each CONTRACTOR’S SAW® allows up to 30 inches of accurate ripping capacity with the fence. The 36-978 has two steel extension wings and a DELTA® T2 fence system, the 36-980 has two cast-iron extension wings and a DELTA® T2 fence system, the 36-981 has two cast-iron extension wings and a UNIFENCE® system, while the 36-982 has two cast-iron extension wings and is equipped with the BIESEMEYER® fence system.
The saws include dust collection with a 4-inch port in the bottom of the cabinet to attach an integrated dust chute. Built-in mobility onto a super stiff stand allows woodworkers to move the saw into larger areas as well as against a wall when not in use. All saws operate with a two capacitor 1 1/2 HP, 120/240 volt motor and have a clear blade guard with splitter and anti-kickback fingers. |
